Inclusion and review policy

Listings are selected, checked, and periodically reviewed. Inclusion is editorial, not automatic. A site should be useful to UK visitors, have a clear purpose, and lead to the organisation or resource described by the listing.

What we exclude

UKWebDirectory.org.uk excludes adult sites, gambling sites, parked domains, malware, misleading sites, unrelated redirects, low-quality placeholder pages, and sites that no longer match the listing.

We may also remove listings where a domain has changed ownership, redirects to an unrelated business, exists only to sell the domain, or no longer provides useful public information.

Review status

The directory is being rebuilt in controlled batches. Screenshots, descriptions, links, redirects, and suitability are checked during the publishing workflow, with problem sites held back or removed where appropriate.
